NRT Practitioner and Functional Nutrition Counselor
My journey toward true health began at the age of four. Born in China, I suffered from a severe lung infection that left me hospitalized for a month. Each day was filled with IV antibiotic treatments, and as a little girl, the sight of unfamiliar doctors in white coats filled me with fear. This early trauma marked the beginning of a childhood plagued by recurring illnesses. By the time I was twelve, I endured a relentless three-month-long cough. One day, after vomiting from yet another dose of antibiotics, I had a realization: This can’t go on. These medicines don’t help—they only make me feel worse. My mother began to see the pattern as well and realized that allopathic medicine wasn’t the solution for me. She turned to Chinese holistic doctors, a decision that changed my life. Slowly, I began to heal. This shift sparked my curiosity about holistic health. I spent time in clinics, learning the names of herbs, marveling at their natural benefits, and absorbing knowledge about acupuncture points from charts and educational videos. I was fascinated by the idea that the body could heal itself. This experience planted a deep-rooted passion for natural health within me. At 18, I immigrated to the United States and pursued studies in childhood and special education. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with children of all ages, including six years supporting children on the spectrum and those with exceptionalities. During this time, I witnessed how lifestyle habits, diet, and environment influenced their moods, behaviors, and attention spans. While my interventions made a difference, I often felt limited within the scope of my role. I longed to do more—to teach, guide, and empower families to transform their health—but I lacked the tools to make a deeper impact. Determined to expand my knowledge, I began immersing myself in books and research on holistic healing. My favorite book, Gut and Psychology Syndrome by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, deepened my understanding of the connection between nutrition and health. Fueled by this passion, I pursued certifications in Nutrition Response Testing and Functional Nutrition. Today, as a certified Nutrition Response Testing practitioner, I feel more empowered than ever. My journey—from a sick little girl to someone equipped to help others heal—has shaped my mission: to make the world healthier, one client at a time. I am committed to using the power of natural health to guide others toward vibrant, thriving lives.
